Do the Next Thing

I read a phrase I had read before. It is simple but profound and The Lord knew I needed to be reminded. It has been “A Day”. Homeschooling is a joy but dealing with one with special needs can be a trip sometimes. And add in puberty, it’s a joy.. Add in that I’m heading into ‘the change” well, it can be interesting to say the least!
So I needed this.
Do The Next Thing
The next thing today was to pray for grace.  As my pastor once said in a sermon series, “Grace” Yell Grace at it! I need to yell Grace and do the next thing.  And I can’t do this by myself. The more I live, the more I realize I so need a Savior!
Then he said to me, This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. 7 Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ˜Grace, grace to it!
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. 2001 (Zec 4:6–7). Wheaton: Standard Bible Society.

Oh I am amazed sometimes how quickly  I can stumble. How easily a good day can turn into a character training ordeal  🙂 Thankfully, He can use all things for my good!  Sometimes, I just need to do the next thing. I need not give up and clam up but just Do the Next Thing.  Life can be overwhelming at times, but He reminds me, Do the Next Thing. When the tasks of the day become too much, Do the Next Thing.  And I can not do the next thing without His help 🙂 Because it is not by my power, not by might but by His Spirit says the Lord of Hosts.  I shall shout, “Grace, grace to it!”
So the next time you feel overwhelmed and need to keep on keeping on but feel you can’t, Shout Grace at it and Do the Next Thing!
in His Love,
