The Heart of Her Husband

I am filled with joy today and can’t seem to keep from blogging so I am asking for you to put up with me 🙂 It’s quiet around here. Boys are finally quiet and working on their school work. They are digging into reports and math… my three older children are at their school and busy I am sure. My beloved is working and is due home soon. So here I am, blogging :0

11The heart of her husband trusts in her,
and he will have no lack of gain.
12  She does him good, and not harm,
all the days of her life.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. 2001 (Pr 31:11-12). Wheaton: Standard Bible Society.

The heart of her husband trusts her. This doesn’t necessarily happen over night 🙂 Wives, girlfriends soon to be married, need to earn his trust. This is done day by day. Her word is as good as gold. Her name is above reproach. She does not take time to sit around and gossip or just talk for the need to talk.  I know, we women have a lot to say! Just look at me today blogging without end 🙂 But are our words worth hearing? Are they lifting anyone up? Are they building anyone up with encouragement or are we tearing others down..

We have taken the time to earn his trust by obeying, yes obeying and following thru with his wishes and those wishes you both have come to an agreement with. There is no harm or fear in obeying his wishes when you are both on the same page and see eye to eye on issues that matter 🙂 He knows deep down that you will bring him gain. You are both working together on goals for your family and home and you are not undermining those goals by spending more than you are in agreement with on the budget. You find ways to be frugal and find ways to bless your husband and family by your hard work and  your diligence towards them.

She does him good and not harm all her days. When we live in such a manner that is consistent, our husband’s have no reason not to trust us. We become the rock, the solid one, the tender-hearted faithful and blessed one. This brings him peace. He can come home and find rest. We find rest. We find peace. Under Christ, we are the makers of peace in our homes. How’s your heart? Mind your heart! Be aware of your attitudes .. sit back and notice how they affect the whole home!  On this day that we celebrate love, I trust you are the one that brings him peace and that in his heart he trusts and you bring him gain ..just by being a godly woman!
