Digging Into the Word Blog Hop, May 24th Ed

22 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. 2001 (Mk 11:22–25). Wheaton: Standard Bible Society.

Ok, before anyone runs away, I am not a blab it and grab it, say it and claim it person. Nope, No siree 🙂 But I do believe in the Whole Word of God and He has always called us to believe and have faith. From the beginning, He calls us to faith.  Life without faith, well, goes no where fast.

In this passage, Jesus and the disciples are walking by a fig tree after leaving the temple when Jesus cleans it out of money changers. They come to a fig tree that was withered up from the root. Petered remembered that Jesus had cursed it and mentions it to Jesus in amazement.

And Jesus Speaks…. Have faith in God.  The word faith  (pistis)  here means faithful, moral conviction. reliance on Christ for salvation. Assurance, belief and fidelity. Jesus speaks of firm belief. If we speak to a problem, a mountain in our life without doubt, and this is key, we must not doubt! It will come to pass.. everything? If we have faith in God, we must know Him yes? Are we going to ask for something against His will?  Is it His will that we be saved? Yes!  Is it His will that we be healed? YES!  Is it His will that we are provided for? Yes! But we must have faith and believe! We must act on it! Faith is a conviction, it is an action! We must not be foolish and spend away our money! We must follow His principles and trust that what the Word says on financial issues is correct!

We must follow what the Word says with taking care of ourselves and treating our bodies as a temple! We must believe in Him and act on it! We must be in prayer and live a life of forgiveness! Forgiveness cripples and  a prayerless  lifestyle is lifeless!

Have Faith in God! Take Steps to follow Him and see a life of adventure and miracles everyday!

How can you trust and have faith in Him today?
