Dear Ones,
I, Mrs A am blessed to be able to homeschool two of my sons. I have homeschooled all of my children at one point of their lives and I would never change it. We have dug into history this year with gusto and created shields and cannons. We have focused on Explorers up thru the Revolutionary War. We are still digging into our history and finding areas we can relate too, areas we feel mankind could have done better and hopefully we are learning from their successes and failures.
We are learning that science is a blast! We have created explosions in the kitchen, found out how the world rotates, discovered that we really get into astronomy and purchased a telescope to be able to study more!
We have found our niche and discovered we are a little bit of this and a little bit of that styles of learning. And it is ok to be boys and make some noise!
I am a pretty traditional person but Homeschooling our boys is expanding my world 
I’m learning to give more in grace and go with the flow more. I am learning to sway away from the more traditional school at home method to a mixture of methods as both boys are so different:) I am learning to enjoy the differences and allow for journeys to take place
why did I think I was the teacher? Praise God, He IS~! Why are you thankful to homeschool?
We are changing in our homeschooling style also. I recently bought Prairie Primer to do with my seven year old. She loves the Little House Series. I am letting go and letting us find what is interesting to her. I am keeping Horizions Math. We are doing science as experiments, unit studies, and just what pops out. I am learning to be less rigid. We also have Apologia Zoology and are working on a nature journal. I think we will be busy and it will keep her interest.
I am so blessed with the flexibility that is homeschooling. I can go by her interests and talents.
We also bought the Veggie Tale’s Devo’s for girls and we read it most mornings. It is a great start to the day.

So glad to hear from you, Sweetie! We loved, Prairie Primer! It was such fun! We are doing the Apologia Astronomy and my older is taking Apologia’s General Science .. We are looking into some Switched on Schoolhouse and a unit study based on the Lord of the Rings.. my boys are a bit older and we can take some time with it

Lord of the Rings sounds great. We are so waiting for The Hobbit to come out around Christmas. We might actually go to the THEATHER. That would be a treat. LOL
we can’t wait!!!! THE HOBBIT!~! We watch the whole trilogy so many times we know it by heart almost! Still touches our souls
