Frugal Recipes… Make Your Own Soap!

I have a frugal blessing for you! I originally received this from my dear friend at Marmee’s Pantry
Homemade Dishwasher Soap

equal parts of
Baking Soda
if it leaves some spots, just a couple of drops of liquid dish soap or what I use, a few drops of pure Camimille soap

To Shine Chrome in your sink..

mix 2 tbls soap to 1 tbl white distilled vinegar

Homemade Glass Cleaner

2 cups rubbing alcohol (70 percent isopropyl)
1/2 cup ammonia
1 tsp dish detergent (liquid)
top with water until you have 1 gallon of window cleaner

Is your Disposal Getting Clogged and Stinky?

Once a month, put a lemon down it..

Is your coffee pot slowing down?

Run it thru with distilled white vinegar

  1. Thanks for sharing!!  I just bought a tub of dishwasher tabs.  I will be using this recipe next.  LOL

I put baking soda and vinegar down all my sinks at least once a week and have the fastest drains I have ever seen.

I use lemons or limes in my disposal.  Remember to cut it into slices.

    1. Thanks Amy! I haven’t tried limes but that would work too! And it would be a nice smell as well 🙂 I love the smell of lemons and I have thought of trying oranges .. I wonder ?
