The Homeschool Mother’s Journal, August 17th

In my life this week…

Preparation for a new school year in two weeks. We have received all of our curriculum except our reading materials and we have remodeled our schoolroom.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…

Football practices are in full swing and we are gearing up for Royal Rangers and MPact Girls Clubs. New beginnings! I Love getting ready for Fall!

My favorite thing this week was…

Watching my son practice football. He has come so far! He was so nervous last year but this year, he is ready to go!

Questions/thoughts I have…

With growing boys and growing schedules, my prayers are with dealing with learning disabilities and laying a foundation that glorifies God in all we do.

Things I’m working on…

Menu plans, daily schedules and learning new curriculum. I have a lot to grasp! Praise God!

I’m reading…

  • The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson
  • The Spirit of the Disciplines by Dallas Willard
  • Invitation to the Jesus Life by Jan Johnson

I’m praying for…

To  have peace and be a peacemaker in all I do. To instill a deep love of learning in my children. That they would continue to grow in the love, the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
