Here’s a simple and easy to freeze recipe. It is a family favorite and just in time for the cooler Â weather!
2 pounds lean ground beef
spices of your choice. I use chili powder, pappy’s and Lowry’s seasoned salt
2 crushed garlic
4 tomatoes, chopped, save juice to add to chili or you can use 2 cans diced tomatoes
2-3 cups frozen corn
2 green bell peppers,chopped
3-4 cans kidney beans, drained well.
one red onion, chopped
Cook meat with spices, bell peppers, onion and garlic. Drain well. Add to stock pot. Add tomatoes, corn and kidney beans. Add more spices to taste. Let simmer for at least four hours. This recipe freezes well. Serve with hot corn bread!
