13 I kept looking in the night visions,
And behold, with the clouds of heaven
One like a Son of Man was coming,
And He came up to the Ancient of Days
And was presented before Him.
14 And to Him was given dominion,
Glory and a kingdom,
That all the peoples, nations and men of every language
Might serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion
Which will not pass away;
And His kingdom is one
Which will not be destroyed.
NASB (Da 7:13-14).
Praise His Holy Name! I first read this passage while going through the Daniel Bible Study by Beth Moore. And, I can still listen to Beth Moore as she teaches. As I read this, I get goosebumps! I close my eyes and try to envision this scene. God the Father, called the Ancient of Days comes down in a chariot of fire. Long beard, all white and Majestic. Regal. Awesome. Beyond what I could ever imagine.
He brings out His Son.. He is introducing His Son.. The GOD OF ALL gives to His Son all dominion, all power, glory and a kingdom of people of every language, every corner of the world .. every nation. That we might serve Him! Â We have been chosen to serve THIS KING! We have been chosen before the foundation of the world to worship this King. This Servant of All who came to earth, humble Himself to be like those He created, was tempted in all ways yet did not sin. He put upon Himself the sins of all mankind and rose from the dead in triumph over the grave on the third day. His kingdom will never end and we are His.
I want to encourage you and myself to make this season a time of worship. A time to focus on what truly matters. Jesus. PERIOD. If we truly believe that He is the Reason for the Season, let us put our actions where our mouth is!I dare say, worship, like love, is an action! How can we put Him first this season? How can we serve those in our communities? Do we really need to buy our selves into oblivian or can we serve someone who is hurting right now? Can we teach our children by actions that it truly is better to give than to receive? I dare you and myself to get outside our own church walls, outside our own homes and find someone to bless this year!
And One More Thing…
Close your eyes and turn on quiet worship music. Try to picture this scene if you will. Let yourself go in worship of this King of Kings, Son of the Ancient of Days. As we come upon the season we celebrate His coming to earth, Let us not forget Who He IS!!!
Come Let Us Adore Him!
