Be Strong and Courageous!

Time to Focus

6 Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. 2001 (Jos 1:6-9).

Dear ones,

I pray this finds you well!

Are you facing a tough time? Is life difficult right now? If it not now, someday it will… Murphy’s law.. Life has its ups and downs. I had the pleasure of sitting in a bible study last night at a local church and this was one of the key verses studied. Did you know, God commands us to not fear or be strong and courageous many times. It is one of the most commanded phrases He commands. It must be important for us to stand firm and not fear! I love this passage. See, I seek knowledge. I want to know all there is to know and He lays it all out for our benefit here.

Obedience brings peace of mind. Follow His lead and rest in the knowledge that He will not leave us or forsake us. Meditate on His Word and we must know it. Deep down, girl, dig deep and know His Word! Do to turn away from His truth. How many times, do we lose patience or life doesn’t get better fast enough so we give up? We can be our own worst  enemy.

Let the Word be on our lips, in our hearts, let it be what we think about. Where the mind goes the heart will follow… where is our focus? Are we focusing on the One Who truly is in control or our own abilities. Let us focus alone on the  things of heaven. We as women can be strong and we can be fearless. We need to be in this day and age! So much going on and so many are hurting, we need to shy away from the challenge but stand firm in the knowledge that the battle is His. He will not call us to go and do anything that He has not already ordained. He has already commissioned us to go great things in His name.

He tells us if we follow His commands here, we will be prosperous and successful. Please, know, this is not necessarily talking financially. Do not limit Him!  The word prosperous in the Hebrew means

 tslach, tsaw-lakh; or
-akh; a prim. root; to push forward, in various senses (lit.) or fig., trans. or intrans.):—break out, come (mightily), go over, be good, be meet, be profitable, (cause to, effect, make to, send) prosper (-ity, -ous, -ously)

Strong, J. (2009). Vol. 2: A Concise Dictionary of the Words in the Greek Testament and The Hebrew Bible (99).

To push forward, break out, come mightily, be good. I JUST LOVE THIS!  He has not called us out if we were not to fulfill His purpose! He knows us deep down, even better than we know ourselves and He says to us to break out! Break out of your comfort zone, dear one! Today is your day!

I want to challenge you to pick yourself up and face your battle, your journey without fear but to be Strong and Courageous! Be a Joshua in your world today for He will walk with you!

in His love,

mrs a
