Today, on my heart is forgiveness. Yesterday, as we the church, celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we remember the gift of eternal life with forgiveness given to all of us.  I pray this is how we would live each day.. that we would remember the great sacrifice that was made for us.. and we would share that great news with all we meet this week!

14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that my name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time.

The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. 2001 (2 Ch 7:14–16)

I always come back to this passage. It is the basis for this blog hop. He keeps His promises. He does not make them lightly. So, I trust He will hear our prayers.

Father, I lift up my home country. I lift up the United States. I come in Jesus name and bow my knee. I am humbling myself and asking for Your forgiveness that You have given at great price. You gave it all, You have provided a way for our healing .. I come asking for forgiveness for the sin our our nation and I start with me. For not loving my neighbor as I should. I ask forgiveness for being self focused and not on those that You have brought in my path. Father, I ask in Jesus name to change my heart and open my eyes to those who need You. Give me a boldness to share your love to all who I speak and see each day. I pray that what starts with me, will spread like a wild fire and Your love would be felt in a real way in the world we all see each day. May we rise up a generation called by Your name to live out the Great Commission.
I come and ask this in Your Precious name, Jesus,

amen
