Ever wonder why the world is in such disarray? When life is upside down, when life is so difficult, it is hard to breathe, ever wonder why? I know I have. When a child strays from home or when a husband loses his job, we want to cry out, BUT WAIT!
.. when reading the Word, ever come across the words, But, God? God always steps in. When we were lost or our lives were in the pit…
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ”by grace you have been saved” and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesian 2:4-7
When we are in need of grace..
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Ephesians 5:8-11
Ever wonder why the world seems to despise the things of God? When right is wrong and wrong is right, what are we to do? ..
27But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:27-31
I love it when I read, “But, God”. Whenever I read it, it means, He has something better coming. He always has a better plan. He knew before the foundation of the world that we would turn on Him and sin. That we would need a way out of our sinful lives and the sentence of death that comes from our sinful natures. He knew before He created us that we would need Him… He always has a … But, God for you!
