A Woman Who Fears the LORD
Fear the LORD?
In this day and age of Grace, fear is almost unheard of. Do we really need to Fear God? I believe His Word is very clear on this. YES. My Pastor spoke on this yesterday and I’m still chewing on it. I love it when I go to church and we dig deep into the meat of His WORD! In the age of ‘easy grace’ where we are so tolerant that we are no different from the world. When the world looks at us, the church, they see nothing different. We allow sin to reside in our hearts and pretend it’s ok.
1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?
2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
3Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.(Romans 6:1-4, NASB)
He has called us to be holy and blameless. We can not do this on our own. Only by the help of the Holy Spirit. We must be devoted to Jesus, being fully submitted to His will for our lives. We are called to be obedient. He knows we are weak and unable to live a holy life. We must be dependent on the Holy Spirit’s guiding in our lives!
I believe in His Grace! He paid a high price to extend to us all the free gift of His grace! I do not know where I’d be other than a pit if it was not for His great and free gift to me. I do not want to be caught taking it for granted! I pray we do not take it lightly!
As we come upon our holiest of celebrations, why not evaluate our lives to see what is not becoming to Him. What are we watching or listening too? The Holy Spirit is also watching and listening. What are we thinking about? Nothing in our lives are hidden. Our hearts are worth more than gold and fine silver to Him. He loves us with a love so great that we can be called His daughters because He sought us out. He redeemed us with His great power. Let’s set about being the women who Fear the Lord. It is all about what’s inside that counts. Who rules your heart?
in His love,
