Chicken Recipes

This is a new recipe I tried.. in my oamc session yesterday. So far it tastes real good. Will be cooking it up tonight for dinner 😉

I took 1 huge bag of frozen chicken from Costco at least enough to make 8 cups chopped chicken pieces

192 oz of broth

This is how I made the broth

Took the frozen chicken, put in a huge pot ( one I use for canning.. )

Fill with water

Put LOTS of spices. When freezing, always use tons of spices.. My favorite is a chicken mix from Watkins and Pappy’s from Costco and thyme

A whole bunch of celery chopped

1 large red onion chopped

Let this cook for at least two hours.. chicken needs to be so tender it falls apart 

You can have this going while you are cooking up other meat is what I do if you are having a cooking session 

When the chicken falls apart, chopped the chicken and save the broth )

Add 3 pounds of egg noodles or noodles of your choice

In a separate bowl, mix together ½ cup flour and 3 cups milk.. add to the broth with the chicken as well. Stir till it is thick and let cool if you are going to freeze. Freeze in bags or airtight containers for meals.
To cook after you freeze:

Thaw and reheat over low heat in saucepan, microwave or 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes 
